COVID-19 UPDATE - OUR CLINIC CURRENTLY REMAINS OPEN
To all patients of SCCC:
During this time of Oregon’s “shelter in place”, many businesses have been forced to close to help prevent the spread of COVID 19. On order of Governor Brown and the Oregon Board of Chiropractic Examiners (OBCE), chiropractic has been deemed “essential”, however with many restrictions as follows:
We follow all the rules and recommendations of the CDC, OHA, and the governor for sanitizing and distancing. Staff hours are reduced by 50% and staggered, non-essential staff are working from home, and each staff member currently working is electing to do so without recourse if they decide to stay home. Our office is clean, sanitized, and prepared.
Every patient will be scanned with a temporal thermometer prior to treatment in an area prepped for screening. (Any person with a temperature over 99.9 degrees will NOT be treated and instructed to inform their PCP).
Chronic pain patients: We have many chronic pain patients who have successfully stopped taking opioids for pain management and chiropractic treatment is an essential part of their pain management plan.
New Acute pain patients: Injury doesn’t stop just because of lock down. To alleviate patients from overwhelming the ER or Urgent Care facilites, patients are encouraged to manage pain with conservative methods such as chiropractic. If you have a new injury, you can receive treatment. This includes all frontline workers: nurses, EMT’s, doctors, first responders, grocery store workers, UPS, USPS, Fed Ex, gas station workers, anyone who is still working and needs help due to new injury.
Established patients with a documented recent injury and motor vehicle accident patients who have moderate to severe biomechanical injuries. These patients need ongoing treatment to alleviate pain and inflammation.
If you need our help, please call the clinic at (541)-688-3223 PRIOR to coming in and we will help you determine if we can help and get you scheduled. WE CANNOT ACCOMMODATE WALK-IN PATIENTS AT THIS TIME.
*Chiropractic care will NOT help prevent COVID 19.
We look forward to helping manage pain during this crisis.
Sincerely,
SCCC staff
